Uploading Files to VizSeek Using SharePoint
Section titled “Uploading Files to VizSeek Using SharePoint”This guide walks you through the process of uploading files to your VizSeek site by setting up synchronization with a SharePoint folder.
📁 Step 1: Create a Folder in SharePoint
Section titled “📁 Step 1: Create a Folder in SharePoint”Start by creating a dedicated folder in your SharePoint site where files will be uploaded. This folder will be synced with VizSeek.
💡 You can organize your files by project or department to make them easier to manage in VizSeek.
🔑 Step 2: Get SharePointID and SharePointKey
Section titled “🔑 Step 2: Get SharePointID and SharePointKey”To allow VizSeek to access your SharePoint folder, you’ll need to obtain your SharePointID and SharePointKey.
- Use the Microsoft Graph API to authenticate and fetch the necessary credentials.
- Refer to the Microsoft Graph documentation for setting up permissions and accessing SharePoint resources.
🛠️ Make sure you have the appropriate API permissions set in Azure Active Directory to retrieve SharePoint credentials.
⚙️ Step 3: Create a Sync Resource in VizSeek
Section titled “⚙️ Step 3: Create a Sync Resource in VizSeek”Once you have your SharePoint credentials:
- Go to the Add File page in VizSeek.
- Choose Create New Sync Resource.
- Name your sync resource (e.g.,
POC). - Enter the
SharePointIDandSharePointKeyin the appropriate fields. - Click Create to finalize.
🔄 Step 4: Sync Files
Section titled “🔄 Step 4: Sync Files”After creating your sync resource:
- Click the Sync button next to the resource name.
- VizSeek will begin pulling files from your SharePoint folder.
⏳ Depending on the number of files, syncing may take a few moments.
👀 Step 5: Verify Synced Files
Section titled “👀 Step 5: Verify Synced Files”To confirm the sync was successful:
- Navigate to the View Files page in VizSeek.
- You’ll see a count of how many files have been imported.
✅ Your files are now searchable and accessible through the VizSeek interface.
